Episode 19, Black History, Black Authors, & Diverse Representation, finds us having our first formal guests to the Podcast.  We are sitting and chatting with Kim C. Lee who is a children's book author and a phenomenal creative coach.  We also have, the amazing Murlonda Janelle Webb, who is also a children’s book author and a passionate Diversity, Equity & Inclusion advocate.  We are so excited to have them come to share their truths on our platform and we know you will receive all the Black Girl Magic they have to share.

We jump into how we each celebrated Black History 2022 and also shared some nuggets on how allies and champions can celebrate and share our history with each other.  They also tackled the roles they play in the black author community and the significance of ensuring they share their knowledge to allow other inspiring authors of color to follow suit.  Lastly, we discussed the importance of portraying Diverse Representation in children's books - it’s so critical that our children of color see themselves in roles and books and other positions of importance. It’s imperative they understand it’s okay to go for their dreams.
